When is a stopper (safety piece) needed for a harness? If you have a sensitive dog with a strong hunting instinct or a tendency to escape who can wriggle out of a harness, a harness-mounted stopper is useful. The individual safety piece is adjusted to fit the dog's waist and is attached to a ring on the harness, preventing the dog from backing out of the harness. With this safety piece, you may prevent dogs who are scared of bangs or fireworks from escaping.We recommend using a double-locked multifunction leash in conjunction with the safety piece, where one lock is attached to the collar and the other to the harness.
