Sera NH4/NH3 Ammonium/Ammonia Water Test

Water test kit for testing freshwater or saltwater. Includes the following water tests: Ammonium (NH4) Ammonia (NH3) The kit is sufficient for approximately 60 measurements. High ammonium levels indicate disturbed or underdeveloped bacterial activity in the filter. Ammonia (NH3) formed from ammonium (NH4) at a pH above 7 is particularly hazardous. Even 0.02 mg/l ammonia levels can lead to gill damage over time. Therefore, always measure the pH level in addition to the NH4 value. In acute cases, you can quickly reduce ammonia concentration using Sera Toxivec. As an additional measure, enhance filter performance with Sera Bio Nitrivec (freshwater), Sera Pond Bio Nitrivec (garden ponds), or Sera Marin Bio Reefclear (saltwater) accordingly. Regular partial water changes help prevent water contamination.
